Introducing the Low Calorie Blueberry: Your Diet Superfood
How many calories in blueberries? There are only 80 calories in a cup of blueberries.
So if you're trying to lose weight or just maintain optimal health, these superfruits are very good news indeed.
Blueberries are the perfect low calorie snacks. Which makes them every dieter's new best friend.
Because this low calorie food is extremely virtuous (being packed full of vitamins and nutrients), but tastes sinful.
Which is nice.
By now most of us know that blueberries (especially wild blueberries) are nutritional blockbusters.
They fight diseases like cancer and heart disease, keep you young and actively promote good health.

Blueberries are also very low in fat (containing zero saturated fat) and sodium, have no cholesterol and are a good source of fibre (about 2 grams of fibre in a half cup
serving - the same as a slice of wholewheat bread).
Eat them fresh with a bit of skim milk, with low fat yoghurt, in smoothies, sprinkled on porridge or cereal.
The only limit is your imagination.
Of course if the calories in blueberries you consume consists of pie, pie... and more pie, you'll probably have a wee bit of trouble losing weight.
But who said life was fair?
Have some blueberries (the tastiest of low calorie foods). You'll feel better.
How do YOU Blueberry?
How do you take your blueberries? Frozen and blended into your smoothie? In a supplement? Or in a jam spread on your toast every morning?
